EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprogramming is a specialist therapy used to deal with trauma. For example a car accident, an assault, witnessing something distressing that has left a client with recurring flashbacks or nightmares. It could be anything such as a bad memory from childhood but is something the client feels is getting in the way of life today.

The therapy used bilateral eye movements to enable the client to process the bad memory and get it into a much better place where it no longer has a negative impact on them.

Sessions are longer than usual but often clients need very few. NICE approved within the NHS as well researched and shown to be effective.
